December 2016

We are excited to announce that LVP is participating in Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, Dec. 6th! Colorado Gives Day is a annual, state-wide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy through online giving. LVP is fortunate to have such fabulous students, teachers, staff, parents and caregivers. We would love your financial support to continue growing our classroom materials and to help fund an outdoor space redesign to incorporate mixed seating for both adults and children.

Visit the Lyons Valley Preschool page on Colorado Gives to make a donation. You can donate anytime, but you can make even more of an impact by donating on Dec. 6th! Any donation to LVP made on that day will be met with funds from a $1 Million Incentive Fund provided by Community First Foundation and FirstBank. You can also schedule a donation now to be made on Dec. 6th.

In support of our amazing school, the LVP Board of Directors has committed 100% board participation for Colorado Gives Day. We hope you join us in supporting LVP. Donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions and can be applied to the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit.

Thanks so much for all you do to make LVP a successful and thriving school!

July 2016

Hi LVP Families,

I wanted to check in with all of you and provide a quick note on staffing plans for this fall at Lyons Valley Preschool. The search for a new Director of Administration and a Teaching Assistant (afternoons and aftercare) are in full swing. We will be reviewing all incoming applicants and extending offers by the end of this month. The board will  make a formal announcement to the parents and staff once those decisions are finalized.

We would like to extend our great appreciation to Lesley Rahbany. Lesley has been working diligently in the interim director role to handle the combination of summer camp and overall LVP logistics.

In the meantime, we are very excited that Miss Athena will be heading up curriculum for the 2016-17 school year. This allows the director role to focus on the myriad licensing, scheduling and school operating logistics that allow LVP to run smoothly.

Looking forward to fall and the first day of school, the school calendar will be available shortly. Keep an eye on your email for that and calendar invitations for both a back-to-school night and a volunteer/social mixer in August.

Please don't hesitate to contact Lesley, myself or another board member should you have any questions and have a wonderful rest of your summer!
