Policy

Lyons Valley Preschool maintains a waitlist for families currently enrolled and seeking to enroll in our early childhood program. The purpose of the waitlist policy is to ensure a fair process that is aligned with the integrity of Lyons Valley Preschool.

LVP does not guarantee enrollment at any time and does not hold spaces for late or mid-year starts.

*Lyons Valley Preschool participates in Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program (UPK). All children who are 4 years old by October 1st of the current school year are eligible to receive 15 free hours of preschool a week. UPK may impact your child’s position on our waitlist. More information about UPK may be found at upk.colorado.gov.

Waitlist Procedure

1.    Priority group:

a.    Children of employees and board members

b.    Current enrolled family requesting change of schedule

c.    Current enrolled family requesting sibling enrollment 

2.    New Prospective Children:

a.    Number priority given based on requested waitlist date

b.    Requested enrollment preferences are filled based on schedule availability
